The Juno Tote unites incredibly practical design with beautiful details. Made from supple 100% full-grain leather and a one-of-a-kind vintage huipil panel, it is spacious yet not bulky. Comfortable handles slip easily over the shoulder or arm with the perfect drop length. Need organization? Lined in colorful handwoven textile, the interior features two pockets for water bottles, two for small items and a zippered pocket… not to mention two exterior pockets for those quick-grab items.

The front of this bag features a handwoven vintage ‘huipil’ (blouse) that has been created on a back-strap loom. Back-strap weaving is a traditional art practiced by many Mayan women in Guatemala. It is a tradition that has been passed down from generations, and is highly revered due to the intricacy of the patterns, and high skill level involved. This is what makes our bags one-of-a-kind and incredibly special. Each piece tells the unique story of the weaver who poured out her identity and emotion with each stitch. You will see that no two bags are alike. Every design, from colorful geometric patterns to whimsical animals has deep and significant cultural meaning to the Mayan woman who made it. We work closely with each individual artisan to bring you these beautiful pieces and ensure they are paid fair wages for their skills.
